Bombay Shaving Company to launch two new brands this Spring
Personal care brand Bombay Shaving Company plans to launch two new brands and 15 new products by March this year.
Bombay Shaving Company saw significant online growth this year and has grown 150% above its pre-Covid-19 level in terms of its monthly run rate, the business’ founder and CEO, Shantanu Deshpande, told ET Retail in an interview.
“We’re looking to maintain growth momentum and continue to increase our revenue guidance for the year,” said Deshpande, ET Retail reported.
“We will continue to invest in expanding the brand and stick to being consumer-centric. We are launching two new brands and 15 products with a superfoods-based proposition for our consumers by March 2021.”
The business plans to continue to expand in the woman’s personal hygiene category and launch a brand in the sanitisation sector, another segment that has increased in importance due to the pandemic.
“We feel there is a huge opportunity for growth for a ‘softer’ or ‘ less chemical-heavy’ yet effective range of products,” said Deshpande.
“We also have a plan to launch another men’s grooming brand targeted at young consumers.”
The business now expects to end its financial year with a gross annualised revenue run rate of Rs 150 crore ($22.5 million), due to swift online growth.
