Bombay Shaving Company names Ravichandran Ashwin as its brand ambassador
Grooming brand Bombay Shaving Company has named Indian cricketer Ravichandran Ashwin as its brand ambassador.
As part of the association, Ashwin will be seen in an omni-channel campaign called ‘Shave to Shine’ promoting the brand.
Commenting on the association, Samriddh Dasgupta, vice president, marketing at Bombay Shaving Company, in a statement said: “We wanted the viewer to see Ashwin in a completely new avatar – not just as a cricketer, but as the suave R Ashwin off-the-field. As a challenger brand, we invest in disruptive, visually delightful, social media friendly and relevant storytelling. The campaign will be taken across products, digital media, retail branding, and influencers.”
Speaking on the association, R Ashwin shares: “I am delighted to support and co-create solutions with Bombay Shaving Company. Shantanu and the team have built an iconic brand that delivers an exemplary experience of grooming through the superior quality of their products. I am superbly excited with what the future holds for the brand and wish them the best.”
Launched in June 2016 by Shantanu Deshpande, Bombay Shaving Company retails a range of skincare, shaving, hair care, and other personal care products and caters to millennial consumers across India. The brand retails its products in over 8,000 stores across 20 cities and leading e-commerce platforms.
