Bombay Dyeing's Q2 total income slips to Rs 226 crore

Bombay Dyeing has posted a decline in its total income to Rs 226 crore ($30.5 million) in the second quarter ended September 30, 2020, compared to income of Rs 563 crore in same quarter previous fiscal.



The company incurred a loss for period after tax of Rs 91 crore, as compared to profit of Rs 90 crore in Q2 FY20.

The company’s total expenses for the period dropped to Rs 403 crore, as against Rs 474 crore it reported last year.

Revenue of Polyester segment during the second quarter was Rs 176 crore, as compared to last year's Rs 268 crore, while its revenue from the retail/textile segment fell significantly to Rs 6 crore, as against Rs 93 crore it had reported in the corresponding period last fiscal.
