Boat appoints Vivek Gambhir as chairman, Sameer Mehta as CEO

India’s leading wearables brand ‘Boat’ owned by Imagine Marketing Limited has elevated Vivek Gambhir to the position of chairman of the company.

The company’s co-founder Sameer Mehta will take on Gambhir’s previous role of CEO and managing director.

In his new role, Gambhir will guide the leadership team on matters of strategy, organizational development, culture, and chart out future growth roadmap.

Commenting on the appointment, Sameer Mehta, co-founder in a statement said, “We have scaled up tremendously over the last several years and it has been amazing to have Vivek as a valued partner in our growth journey. We are deeply grateful to Vivek for his partnership, inspirational leadership, strong values, and friendship. And we look forward to his continued support as we chart the next phase of our transformation.”
