Bluestone entered the offline jewellery market in 2018 and currently has six exclusive brand outlets in the cities of Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Hyderabad, Chandigarh, and Mohali.

The omnichannel jewellery retailer is in talks with investors to raise around $25 million (Rs 177 crore) which will help the company launch more premium stores across top metropolitan cities.

Bluestone will also expand through the franchise route and is looking for investors for the same.

“Bluestone has now signed up with multiple franchise partners. To ramp up the expansion, BlueStone is further inviting entrepreneurs who are looking to invest in successful franchising opportunities,” the company said in a statement.

“The brand will be opening stores with a size of 300 - 1000 square feet in prime locations/malls in top metros (Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, and Chennai) in its first phase of expansion. The cost of investment at the moment is currently around 1.5 crore with return on investment ranging between 18-25 percent,” it added.

Established in 2011, Bluestone currently is one of India's largest omnichannel jewellery companies. It is targeting revenue of Rs 1,000 crore in FY19 and expects to achieve profitability around the same time.
