The annual Blenders Pride Fashion Tour will highlight new talent in its 2019/2020 edition, the event announced on Facebook. The initiative, in partnership with GQ, will see three fashion designers and three models picked from the applicants and given the opportunity to be mentored by a jury of industry professionals. The top three in both categories will also have the chance to showcase their work as part of the upcoming Blenders Pride Fashion Tour.
The Blenders Pride jury consists of designer Ashish N Sonia; model Diva Dhawan; photographer and director Colston Julian; GQ editor in chief Che Kurrien; and Vogue India fashion director Anaita Shroff Adajania. Fashion design applicants submitted capsule collections with a minimum of six looks and model applicants submitted their modelling portfolios.
The upcoming edition of the multi-brand runway show will mark the event’s 15th year. The dates have not yet been announced. The 2018/ 2019 edition of the fashion tour saw events in Gurugram, Mumbai, Hyderabad, and Kolkata and featured designers including Rohit Bal, Gaurav Gupta, and Tarun Tahiliani among others.
