Birkenstock plans three store openings for spring 2021

Footwear brand Birkenstock plans to open a new store in Bengaluru in February 2021, as well as stores in Mumbai and Chandigarh in spring, seeing the Indian market as having high growth potential. 

 
After completing its first year in the Indian market, German brand Birkenstock plans to begin its second year with an ambitious expansion plan, the brand announced in a press release. The brand plans to open exclusive-retail outlets in Bengaluru, Mumbai, and Chandigarh to enter the cities and strengthen its presence in the south of the country. The brand also plans to open across other key Indian cities in 2021. 
 
To celebrate its first year in India, Birkenstock has launched a ‘shop and win campaign', which is awarding 10 winners pairs of Birkenstocks each day from December 11 to 31. The raffle is running on the Birkenstock’s Instagram page.

Birkenstock, which has a history dating back to 1774 and is present in 100 countries, entered the Indian market in December 2019 and launched a dedicated e-commerce store. To date, the business has opened stores in Delhi, Hyderabad, and Chennai, and also retails through multi-brand outlets. The brand specialises in orthopaedic sandals.
