Billabong: two new executives for sourcing and supply chain

Billabong has hired two sourcing experts to conduct its supply strategy.

The board sports group has announced the appointment of Randy Royce as vice president, global supply Chain.

He will be charged with guiding and coordinating the sourcing teams, product development and research as well as development for the group worldwide. He will reports to Jeff Streader, the chief operating officer who joined the company in May.

Before joining Billabong, Royce developed the sourcing strategy for Eddie Bauer Holdings. Previously, he worked at the apparel group New Wave as well as at Nordstrom.

As for the sourcing department, it will now take its orders from another new hire. Kitty Ho has worked for over 25 years in sourcing in Hong Kong for brands such as Polo Ralph Lauren, Liz Claiborne and Tommy Hilfiger.

From 2002 to 2007, she worked for VF Corp as director of sourcing for its Imagewear division. She was then became vice president of sourcing for companies such as Kelwood or Guess. She recently served as vice president of merchandising at the Hong Kong company Contempo.

Both executives will be based in Billabong’s Hong Kong offices.
