BigBasket plans to offer 85% of its online products for delivery in between three and four hours, ET Bureau reported. To achieve this, the business has merged its 90-minute delivery and planned next-day delivery sectors into one entity.

Delivery has been a main focus area for BigBasket recently, as it aims to increase its market share. Earlier in the month, BigBasket announced that it aims to upscale its electric vehicle based delivery capabilities by between 10 and 20 times over the coming year, in order to increase sustainability.

"We are expanding our B2B [business to business] presence with a focus on working with Kirana stores,” BigBasket’s CEO Hari Menon told ET Bureau. Menon also said that the business will also expand with a hyperlocal approach.

BigBasket recently introduced a beauty category and now retails a multi-brand selection of cosmetics.

The business also recently launched the subscription programme BBStar, which offers members promotional prices and priority delivery slots. BigBasket is owned by Supermarket Grocery Supplies and backed by Alibaba
