Biba reaches 300 stores in India with Jaipur launch
Women’s ethnic wear, casual wear, and lifestyle retailer Biba has reached a brick-and-mortar store count of 300 across India after opening a new flagship store in Jaipur’a Ahinsa Circle.
Biba’s new store in Jaipur houses its full selection of women’s and girls’ ethnic wear, casual and lounge wear, sleepwear, and accessories, the brand announced on Facebook. The store opening was a milestone for the business.
“We're proud to announce that we have 300 Biba Stores all across India,” it announced on Facebook. “Here's to growing stronger!”
This year, Biba opened a number of stores across India in Guwahati, Gurugram, Delhi, Tirunelveli, and Bhatinda among other locations. The new wave of store openings followed on from a lull caused by the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020.
Biba also recently launched online and in-store shopping festival ‘Big Biba Wedding’ for the winter wedding season, the brand announced in a press release. The promotional event has numerous interactive features including video content and contests.
The brand has partnered with influencers including Shivani Sharma Singh for its wedding-themed promotions and Singh has created videos styling Biba’s wedding themed collection. The brand has also launched a Beats of Biba Wedding Remix dance challenge to encourage fans to post videos of them dancing to Biba’s song, tapping into the trends of influencer marketing and dance challenges.
