Biba partners with Liva Fluid Fashion for clothing collection

Women’s ethnic wear brand Biba has partnered with Aditya Birla Group’s sustainable textile brand Liva Fluid Fashion to launch a line of kurtas and sets designed to be eco-friendly and easy to wear.

As Biba looks to increase sustainability within its production process, its new collection of ethnic and fusion wear separates ‘Stylised Duets’ is “made fluid” with Liva Fluid Fashion textiles, the brand announced on Facebook. The collection, which features a mix of subtle geometric-style prints and traditional and nature-inspired motifs, marries a relaxed silhouette with subtle details such as draped elements and mixed prints for a wearable look. 
 
“These outfits are a little special as they are made by Liva Fluid Fashion fabrics that are nature based, making it breathable, super soft, flowy and comfortable for all your casual looks,” Biba announced on Facebook, launching the collection. 

Liva Fluid Fashion manufactures its textiles using Birla Cellulose fibres which come from renewable and natural aw materials. The business uses a closed-loop process for its manufacturing process which it describes as “responsible manufacturing” and its textiles are fully biodegradable. The business also has a transparent supply chain, available to view via a QR code, and aims to aid fashion businesses make their collections more sustainable, according to its website. 
 
Biba has partnered with Flipkart’s fashion arm Myntra and is participating in its ‘End of Reason’ sale which runs online from July 3 to 8. The brand is also currently promoting its athleisure range, a response to the changing needs of the pandemic, with a series of yoga content on its Facebook page.
