Biba’s first store in Tokyo opened with a launch party and numerous discounts, the brand announced on Facebook. The new store houses Biba’s selection of kurtas, dresses, sets, and fusion-style ensembles in bright patterns featuring traditional motifs. The space gives Tokyo’s shoppers their first chance to browse Biba’s products in person and experience the world of Biba.

Biba has also launched a dedicated Instagram account for its Tokyo store named ‘Biba Japan’ to reach more customers in the city. The store has launched Biba’s latest mini-collection named ‘Outfit of the New Year’ designed for upcoming New Year celebrations and featuring printed cotton kurtas and sets in sunflower yellow and navy blue.

As well as expanding internationally, Biba is also increasing its store count across its native India. The brand reached an India store count of 300 in December, 2021 and will continue to open in new locations. The business is also gearing up to launch an initial public offering this year. The business aims to raise between Rs 1,500 crore and Rs 2,000 crore in the IPO and has shortlisted its advisors.
