Biba’s new store in Bhatinda opened its doors on January 5 and welcomed the city’s shoppers with full health and safety and social distancing measures in place, the brand announced on Facebook. The store retails the brand’s selection of kurtas, shawls, fusion wear sets, dresses, and palazzo pants, as well as accessories and children’s wear, among other products.

The brand is currently running its end of season sale across all of its retail platforms. Recent product launches include a line of lounge wear designed to be worn at home and scarves and face masks designed to match its ethnic wear offerings.

The new store adds to the brand’s growing presence in Punjab, joining a host of stores in cities including Ludhiana, Jalandhar, Patiala, Amritsar, Zirakpur, and Khanna, among others. The brand is expanding across India with a focus on non-metro locations to tap into the growing rural demand for branded clothing and recently opened stores in Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh and Thrissur, Kerala.

Alongside its pan-India network of stores, Biba also retails from its dedicated e-commerce store. The brand, launched in Mumbai in 1988, specialises in kurtas and recently expanded into more loungewear and work-from-home wear styles, in response to evolving consumer tastes due to the pandemic.
