Biba launches workwear line
Ethnic wear and lifestyle brand Biba has launched a new workwear line which mixes its signature desi aesthetic with office-ready attire.
Biba’s new ‘Work Vogue’ line reimagines its classic kurta sets for the office with clean lines, comfortable drapes, and fusion style options. The new line has launched on Biba’s e-commerce store and in its exclusive brand outlets across India, the brand announced on Facebook.
Along with ethnic wear sets, the workwear line features fusion and western style garments. Printed blazers are paired with plain, fitted trousers, and loose-fit tops featuring subtle embroidered details. Notable items from the new line include a mustard yellow floral blazer and pink slim-line kurta set.
Biba has been swift to respond to consumer trends over the past few years. When its customers were stuck at home during lockdown, Biba launched a loungewear line and bolstered its sleepwear selection. Now many are returning to the office, the brand has launched its Work Vogue line.
Biba, which launched in 1986, is also currently gearing up for its initial public offering. The business aims to raise funds to repay debts and for other corporate purposes. The IPO will comprise a fresh issuance of Rs 90 crore worth of equity shares as well as an offer for sale of 2.77 crore equity shares.
