Beyond Beauty Events creates a Southeast Asian edition

Beyond Beauty Events, owned by the British Informa group, is launching a new trade fair for South-East Asia, Beyond Beauty ASEAN (Association of South East Asian Nations *). The event will be held from September 18–20, 2014 in Bangkok, at the same time as the third edition of the World Spa & Well-being convention. The new fair is expected to draw 400 exhibitors and nearly 15,000 visitors, and will be divided into four areas: beauty and cosmetics; spa and wellness; herbal and health; and hair and nails.


The show is positioning itself as "a true gateway to launch on the booming Asean market," and will be able to leverage the expertise and networks of its European counterpart, Creative & Beauty Cosmeeting Paris, and its other Asian sister show, the China Beauty Expo.

Some 600 million people live in the region, where the beauty market has nearly tripled since 2007, especially driven by an expanding middle class. Beauty sales currently total 14 billion dollars, according to Nuning Barwa, president of the ASEAN Association Cosmetics.

Beyond Beauty ASEAN is being sponsored in part by the Health and Beauty Cluster, The Federation of Thai Industries and the ASEAN cosmetic association.
