On July 4, Benetton held an event in Delhi’s Select Citywalk mall where it has a store. The brand hosted the popular singer-songwriter and comedian Bhuvan Bam to promote its latest collection and engage an audience offline.

“Benetton has a long history with art,” said the brand’s India CEO and managing director Sundeep Chugh, according to the brand’s press release. “We love to infuse art of any form into fashion and create a collection that is young and positive. Benetton and Rolling Stone have been partners since a long time and we are happy to have a popular youth icon like Bhuvan Bam sport our SS19 collection for India’s leading music magazine.”

“Benetton feels like a perfect brand to be spotted in for all the work it has done to empower art, culture and music,” said Bam on the occasion.

Benetton plans to open over 50 stores in India this year and 150 in the next three years and is in the process of updating some of its existing stores to include a range of technology. The brand currently runs around 400 exclusive brand outlets in India and around 5,000 globally and plans to launch an omni-channel strategy in India by the end of the year.
