Published
Mar 7, 2013

Ben Sherman pays homage to the evolution of men’s style in British and the different cultural aspects that have accompanied it in the new book 50 Years of British Style and Culture. The book’s author, journalist Josh Sims, begins the retrospective in the 50’s with the Teddy Boys movement, inspired by the outfits of King Edward VII. Through 8 chapters featuring archive photos, Josh Sims retraces the subcultural movements that lead British fashion, from mods to punk and skinheads.

50 Years of British Culture

"I have been artistic director here for ten years and after having been immersed in the brand for so long, it is really interesting to explore our place in British fashion over the past half a cetnury, » writes Mark Maidment in the foreword. The books appeals to Ben Sherman fans as much as it does fans of British culture in general and is available in Ben Sherman stores as well as online.
