Being Human expands in Northeast with store in Guwahati

Salman Khan’s Being Human, licensed by Mandhana Retail Ventures Ltd, has expanded its presence in the north eastern region with a concept store in the city of Guwahati. This is the brand’s second store in Northeast after Siliguri and it will be adding two more stores in Shillong and Guwahati next year.
 

The new store is located at GS Road, Sreenagar and spread over 750 square feet. Being Human will be replicating the Guwahati store model across India for all its new stores less than 1,000 square feet.
 
The brand will be expanding rapidly over the next few months especially in tier 2 and tier 3 markets. Being Human is expected to open as many as 21 new stores during the financial year 2018-19.

Kunal Mehta, Vice President of Business Development and Marketing at Being Human Clothing, said in a statement, “We are proud to announce the launch of our first concept store in Guwahati. The new concept design will be used for all new stores less than 1,000 square feet. We are focused on enhancing our presence not only globally but also by growing our roots stronger in the domestic market specifically in tier 2 and tier 3 markets as we see great potential in these markets.”
 
Karan Berry, Creative Head, added, “The main idea behind a warehouse concept with an industrial set-up is to keep our products the key focus in the store. Our key purpose was to make an intelligent store with smart design and reduce the cost of the store.”
 
Being Human brand was launched in 2012 by Salman Khan in collaboration with Mandhana Retail Ventures Limited. Being Human currently has 63 exclusive brand outlets, 204 shop-in-shops (SIS) and 61multi brand outlets (MBOs) across the country.
