Beauty Barn, a Korean beauty retailer, has strengthened its brand portfolio with the addition of cosmetic brand Acwell and is planning expansion across India in the coming months.

Beauty Barn strengthens portfolio with Acwell, plans expansion - Toinali Kinimi

With this partnership, Acwell will sell a wide range of products exclusively in the Indian market through Beauty Barn. The products will be available on Beauty Barn’s website and retail outlets in the northeast.

Talking about the new brand addition Toinali Kinimi, co-founder and CEO at Beauty Barn, told FashionNetwork.com, “We love to curate brands that focus on effective formulations at its core and we couldn’t be more excited to add Acwell to our curated brand list”.

Launched in 2017, Beauty Barn is betting big on the Korean beauty products for growth in the Indian market as it feels that their unique offerings at competitive prices make them stand out from a host of other brands in the market.

“The response has been quite positive and assuring, given the fact that this is quite a new industry in the Indian market with hardly a few years of exposure. But as per the customer feedbacks and market acceptance of Korean beauty products, the industry will grow at an exponentially high growth rate,” Kinimi added.

Beauty Barn is also looking at expanding its retail presence in the northeast and open stores in the eastern region in the coming months.

Talking about the expansion plans, Kinimi said, “We will be opening our fifth franchise store in Aizawl, Mizoram in the first week of October. Also, we are partnering with a few existing stores that sell Korean beauty products in Imphal, Manipur. We are also planning to branch out to other regions as well simultaneously.”
