Bata opens its largest retail outlet in Mumbai

Footwear major Bata India as part of its retail expansion plan in the country recently opened its biggest retail outlet in the city of Mumbai.
 

Bata has said that it will continue to focus on retail expansion this year coupled with the expansion of its product portfolio.
 
The new store is located in Infiniti Mall, Malad and spread across an area of 6000 sq ft. The store was inaugurated by Alexis Nasard, Global CEO of Bata.

The store will have an exclusive sneaker studio and house footwear, accessories, and workwear range for men and women.
 
Commenting on the new store, Sandeep Kataria, CEO at Bata India Ltd in a statement said, “Expanding our retail footprint and channel presence continues to be our core focus for the year. All stores are being designed under the global Red format to standardize the brand imagery across the globe.”
 
“We are focusing on innovating our product portfolio and are constantly increasing newness by introducing new arrivals every Friday,” Kataria added.
 
Bata India plans to add 500 stores in the next five years by taking the franchise route. During the fiscal year 2018-19, Bata India opened 71 new retail stores and 51 franchise ones.
