Barcelona opens first store in Goa

Menswear brand Barcelona has opened its first brick-and-mortar store in Goa. The new exclusive brand outlet is located inside Bemvinda Apartment at Pajifond, Margao and retails the brand’s selection of semi-formal and casual wear.

“Finally made it to the beach,” announced Barcelona on Facebook on June 6. “Barcelona has opened its first-ever store in Goa with a stylish range of bright and colourful menswear collections. Step into our newest store to shop.”

The store features a wide array of men’s denim as well as shirts, graphic t-shirts, and chinos as well as accessories. The interior is minimally decorated with natural wood shelving and metal details for a modern, masculine feel.

Barcelona has been expanding swiftly across India and opened exclusive brand outlets in Pune, Visnagar, and Bhopal in May. The brand has also recently opened stores in Nawada, Dapoli, Kota, and Mahoba.

Counting over 130 exclusive brand outlets across India, Barcelona has a retail presence in over 70 cities and plans to open 50 new stores this financial year, Indian Retailer Bureau reported. The brand also plans to launch an initial public offering in the near future.

In 2015, entrepreneur Jaimin Gupta launched Barcelona in Ahmedabad. The brand received a Rs 5 crore equity-free capital investment from GetVantage in April this year and plans to use the funding to fuel its continued brick-and-mortar expansion across India.
