“You can make a difference,” the brand announced on Facebook, launching the fundraising drive. “Let your faith be bigger than your fear. It’s time to give back… As Covid-19 continues to challenge us, we have taken a pledge to donate our sales proceedings to charities Khana Chahiye and Goonj who are doing a commendable job for the country.”

The brand recently launched its summer jewellery collection, which features eye and chain motifs, stone-set charms, and glittering bangles. The collection is a modern take on bohemian style and also features pearls and metal beads.

The brand is also running a number of promotional offers on its products including buy one initial necklace and get 33% off the second one. As a halt to consumer spending on fashion and jewellery (‘non-essential’ items) last year led to excess stock for many retailers, many brands in the sector have been running sales to encourage consumer spending to prevent stock build-up.

Bansri Mehta Design retails its fusion-style women’s jewellery from its flagship store in Mumbai and dedicated e-commerce store. The brand also retails in the U.S., UK, and UAE, according to its website.
