Parisian luxury fashion brand Balmain has unveiled a new campaign showing off its Spring/Summer 2015 collection on some of the world's hottest modeling talent.

Photographed by Mario Sorrenti and art directed by Pascal Dangin, the images continue the Balmain Army concept conjured up by the brand's creative director Olivier Rousteing last season.

The campaign starts Brazilian models Adriana Lima and Isabeli Fontana, American Joan Smalls, British model-turned-actress Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, and rising Canadian star Crista Cober. "Balmain is all about diversity," explained Rousteing. "The incredible power that all those strong women bring in front of the camera, put into real life situations, helped me explore and create a new reality that represents the pop aspect of my generation."

Art director Pascal Dangin was inspired by the concept of uniforms to create the images, which see the models wearing matching or similar clothes in each of the different scenes: "I wanted to inject a sense of pop-relevance into the campaign by plotting the models in surreal interpretations of everyday environments," he added.

Inspired by the distorted realism of 1970s French cinema, the sets were dressed to look like everyday locations including subway stations and diners. Hair duties were taken care of by Bob Recine, while makeup was by Lucia Pieroni. The images will drop in the February issues of leading fashion magazines.
