Bajaj Consumer Care Q4 net profit declines 29 percent to Rs 38 crore

FMCG major Bajaj Consumer Care witnessed a 29 percent decline in its net profit to Rs 38 crore ($5 million) for the fourth quarter ended March 2022, as against a net profit of Rs 54 crore it reported in the year-ago period.

The company’s revenue for the quarter declined by 11 percent to Rs 216 crore, as against Rs 242 crore it reported in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal year.

For the financial year 2022, the company’s net profit stood at Rs 175 crore while it revenue was Rs 865 crore.

The company attributed the decline in profit and revenue to the overall slowdown in the market coupled with global tensions and Covid-19 disruptions in the first half.

Bajaj’s e-commerce continued to scale up well with growth of 50 percent in Q4 and 80 percent growth on a full year basis over last year.

Bajaj Consumer Care is part of the Bajaj Group and is one of the leading players in the hair oil and skincare categories in India.
