Bajaj Consumer Care Q3 profit rises 18 percent to Rs 57 crore

FMCG firm Bajaj Consumer Care witnessed an 18 percent rise in consolidated profit at Rs 57 crore ($7.8 million) for the third quarter ended December 2020, as against Rs 49 crore it had reported in the corresponding quarter a year ago.

The company's total income during the quarter increased by 16 percent to Rs 258 crore, as against Rs 222 crore in the October-December quarter a year ago.

Bajaj Consumer’s majority of sales came from the domestic market with a contribution of Rs 236 crore, while the remaining came from the international markets.

“Urban region showed signs of recovery with positive growth of 7 percent, while rural grew by 37 percent during the quarter under review. E-commerce business grew by around three times for the quarter contributing to 2.5 percent of sales. The company is optimising and increasing digital marketing on various platforms,” Bajaj Consumer Care said in a statement.
