Azafran products are currently available in a total of 1,500 retail outlets across India and the brand aims to take the total to 10,000 within the next 12 months, according to a press release. The brand has several partnerships, including with Aditya Birla, and aims to be present in all Tier 1 cities and metros with a population greater than 20 lakh following its current expansion.

Over the next three to four years, Azafran Organics is expecting sales of around 100 crore rupees (approximately 15 million US dollars). For the current financial year that will end in March, the brand expects sales of 25 crore rupees (approximately 3.8 million dollars) and also expects to break even during the next financial year.

Along with expanding its retail presence, Azafran is also expanding its product categories. A homecare vertical will be launched in the coming months and a range of cold pressed edible oils are scheduled for release in the next six months.

Azafran is a research orientated skin-care company and claims to be the only Indian company that is based from scratch on an organic concept. The brand was started in Ahmedabad where its research and development centre is located and products have been given the USDA, ECOCERT France, India Organic, and Halal stamp of approval.
