Awesome Sparklers' Priti Bhatia presents PM Modi with exclusive brooch

Priti Bhatia has created an exclusive brooch set with 1,200 diamonds to present to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The Surat-based fine jewellery designer created the piece with her brand Awesome Sparklers and developed it to represent the power of the Indian Constitution.

“It has always been my passion to innovate and deliver aesthetically pleasing and reliable jewellery,” announced Bhatia on Instagram. The brooch design features the Ashoka Chakra and can be rotated to show the new Parliament.
 
The brooch totals 9.5 carats of diamonds and is set in rose gold. The brooch design represents strength, courage, and honour and it was realised with support from the Surat Jewellers Association.

“The Surat Jewellers Association was inspired by the structure of the new Parliament and made a replica of it; this inspired me to design the brooch with the same concept,” Bhatia told the Gem and Jewellery Export Promotion Council about her creation. “Awesome Sparklers made this brooch in 15 days. It evokes the Make In India logo – that of a lion head, to foster innovation and skill development. The idea is to present this brooch and it should be passed on for generations and worn at the time of the swearing-in ceremony.”
