Sekhose presented a collection featuring ten outfits made from Thai silk to showcase the textile the fashion week sought to promote. The designer also presented 18 looks from his most recent collection and created outfits for the Indian Ambassador to Thailand, Suchitra Durai and her husband, ex-Ambassador Swaminathan Ramachandran.

Sekhose’s collection featured jewel tone textiles with subtle prints in the weave and versatile garments ranging from mini-cocktail dresses to floor-length dress coats. North East Indian checks and geometrical prints celebrated the designers’ roots and 3-D appliqués added a theatrical feel to the wearable collection.

“Thailand has a high fashion sense, and it was exciting for me to be a part of it,” Sekhose told Asian Age about the experience.

The event featured designers from 70 countries including India, China, Mexico, Russia, Austria, and Nepal and followed on from the Bangkok Literature Festival.

Atsu Sekhose is a graduate of the National Institute of Fashion Technology and is based in New Delhi. The designer has dressed Bollywood celebrities including Kareena Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, and Priyanka Chopra Jonas and has also shown collections in Paris, France and Milan, Italy this year.
