Athiya Shetty to launch her own clothing line

Bollywood actress Athiya Shetty is planning to foray into the fashion wear market in India with the launch of her own clothing line next year.
Athiya who is the daughter of veteran Bollywood actor Sunil Shetty has said that her clothing line will cater mostly to teenagers and young girls.
It is unclear whether or not the young actress will collaborate with retailers or e-commerce firms for her label launch. Globally, celebrity brands are a huge hit with billions of dollars being generated by celebs like David Beckham, Victoria Beckham, Kim Kardashian, among many others.
Even though celebrity brands are relatively new to the Indian market, it is a segment that has been witnessing fast growth with more and more celebrities turning entrepreneurs.
Some of the popular celebrity brands in India are Hrithik Roshan’s HRX, Shahid Kapoor’s Skult, Deepika Padukone’s All about You, Virat Kolhi’s Wrogn, Yuvraj Singh’s YWC, Sonam Kapoor’s Rheson amongst others.
"I have always loved fashion and experimenting with my clothes. I am really looking forward to launch my own clothing line. The age group which I am targeting will be teenagers and young girls. All the sizes will be available and style will be street smart clothes," Athiya was quoted as saying by a news agency IANS.
"Fashion is all about who you are as a person and I am very comfortable in my own skin. I'm quite excited about working on my own fashion line and the credit also goes to my team who work with me closely on ideas and ways to implement them. I admire (model) Kendall Jenner in terms of fashion and get inspired by a lot of people around me," she added.
Athiya is currently believed to be working on the designs with her team and the label is expected to hit the shelves early next year.
