Japanese sportswear brand, Asics, has expanded its retail footprint with the opening of its second store in the city of Hyderabad.

The new store, which is located at GVK Mall in Banjara Hills, was inaugurated by Indian cricketer, Bhuvneshwar Kumar.
 
Rajat Khurana, Managing Director Asics India said: “We have been rapidly increasing our presence in the Indian market with the introduction of our new concept stores all over the country. Our athletes truly resonate with the #PacetoGlory initiative, which is an extension of our global ‘I Move Me’ campaign focusing on physical and mental fitness.”

Bhuvneshwar Kumar added: “Asics has partnered with athletes across the spectrum of sports with most of them already representing India at various events. The brand believes that sports have the power to change lives which resonates with my personal belief too.”
 
Asics has been rapidly expanding its brick-and-mortar retail presence in India and plans to open 20 new stores during the 2020 financial year.
 
Asics considers India as an important market for growth and also has a strong online presence including its exclusive website for the country.
