Arya Giri expands new brand in India, US

Arya Giri is expanding her new, eponymous brand across India and the US after recently launching an e-commerce store and partnering with multi-brand retailers for distribution. The brand also recently held a showcase in New York, US for her spring/ summer 2023 collection. 

The new brand recently showcased its ‘Sher-Rani’ spring/ summer 2023 collection during New York Fashion Week in the US, Arya Giri announced on Instagram. The collection mixed fusion style silhouettes with sculptural necklines and delicate florals for a dramatic yet feminine effect. 
 
“We work with weavers across India, in Kanchipuram, Surat, and Bengal, to name a few, to create some of the fabrics we utilise in our collections,” Giri Told Bizz Buzz news about her new brand. “The duration of each piece is based on the intricacy of the jacquard incorporated and the technicalities of the fabrication; but on average it takes one to four months to weave.”

The brand currently retails from its dedicated e-commerce store as well as multi-brand fashion retailers Evoluzione in Delhi and Chennai, Curato in India, and Flying Solo in New York, US. The brand is positioned in the affordable luxury segment of the market and its designs are intended to be worn from day to night. 
 
“Arya Giri is a potpourri of nostalgia, fables, and memories wrapped into one,” said Giri about her eponymous brand. “Having been raised across the globe, understandings of our rich culture and heritage came from the tangibilities, idiosyncrasies and tales that were chips of our family pieced together.”
 
Giri has plans to continue to expand her brand’s product offering with children’s wear and leather goods on the horizon. The brand also aims to further expand its distribution both in India and internationally.
