Aranyani launches food distribution, hospital aid in Bengaluru

Luxury handbag brand Aranyani has launched a number of charitable initiatives around Bengaluru including food distribution and hospital aid, as well as support for its artisans during the second wave of Covid-19.

Aranyani, which specialises in handmade handbags embellished with hand-painted designs and semi-precious stones, has distributed 2,500kg of rice and 2,500 masks to aid the effort to fight Covid-19, the Telegraph India reported. The brand has also begun working with the Sri Sathya Sai Super Speciality Hospital in Bengaluru to aid with oxygen production.
 
The brand has organised a coronavirus vaccination drive for its employees, who total over 150, as well as their spouses. Aranyani has also provided its artisans with medical insurance and are supplying them with free vegetables and produce from their own orchards. 

Through its Aranyani Educational and Vocational Trust, the brand is donating 1% of turnover to sponsor the education of three children and aims to sponsor 18 more children. The brand also plants a tree for each bag purchased. 
 
Aranyani means ‘Goddess of the Forest’ in Sanskrit. The brand is currently working on scaling up its international distribution and recently released a collection named ‘Fluidity’ which features three sub-collections: ‘Stone Drop’, ‘Kesuda’, and ‘Fragrant Trails’, it announced on Facebook.
