Apparel start-up G&A receives funding from angel investors

Kerala-based apparel start-up Giacca & Abito Sartoriale Fashion (G&A) has raised an undisclosed amount from angel investors Sonu Vaidyan and Sony Vaidyan who are the directors of the leading business chain, Syama Dynamic Group.

The start-up will utilise the funds to expand its presence pan India along with diversification of its product portfolio. G&A plans to launch their ethnic wear line and enter the global market by the beginning of the next financial year.

G&A already has a strong presence in the formal, leather accessories, and casual wear segment with its ‘T the Brand’ and ‘Bare Brown’ brands

Commenting on the funding, Sreejith Sreekumar, founder CEO of G&A in a statement said, “The investment is a definitive recognition of the company’s commitment to making luxury menswear accessible and affordable while not compromising quality. The investment has paved the way to achieve the company’s dream of achieving Rs 20 crore revenue in the next fiscal.”

Sonu Vaidyan added, “We like to invest in businesses rooted in Kerala that aim for the global market, just like G&A. The growth of the company within a short span of time is what propelled the investment.”

G&A has established over a hundred counters with leading fashion retailers in Kerala and sells pan India in states like Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, West Bengal, UP, Bihar, Odisha, Punjab, and Delhi.
