Menswear designer Sarab Khanijou has launched a new festive wear collection named ‘Mehfil-e-Badnaam’, inspired by Indian actor Aparshakti Khurana, who stars as muse in its new campaign.

“Mehfil-e-Badnaam is an ode to memories and friendships that don’t fade over time but revive itself through the journey called life,” said designer Khanijou about the collection in a press release. This season, the collection also includes a footwear line, handmade using traditional techniques and in complementary hues.

Aparshakti Khurana wears a waistcoat and a jacket look in the campaign, showcasing Mehfil-e-Badnaam’s slimline tailoring and use of handcraft techniques. Sherwanis, kurtas, and jackets designed for the autumn festive and wedding season show the designer’s inspiration from architecture, nature, and Kashmir.

The collection is also currently being promoted with a campaign starring models Nikhil Chauhan, Sajid Sheikh, Prajwal Mehra, and Abhinav Raghavan, the brand announced on Facebook. With deep blue and maroon hues, sharp tailoring, and 3D embellishments, the line mixes subtle opulence with a modern sleekness.

Menswear label Sarab Khanijou retails from its flagship store in New Delhi. The brand also has a presence in multi-brand luxury Indian fashion boutiques Pernia’s Pop-Up Shop, Aza, and Curato.
