Ujjawal Dubey’s clothing brand Antar Agni has launched its first footwear line. The collection of casual footwear is made in-part from surplus fabric from the brand’s womenswear and menswear collections.

Antar Agni’s maiden footwear collection launched on the brand’s dedicated e-commerce site with ten gender-neutral designs, the brand announced in a press release. The collection is minimalist but incorporates texture to mirror Antar Agni’s deconstructed, modern aesthetic. Wrinkles and criss-cross shapes add a sculptural element to a highly paired-down design.

“We love monotones and colour repetitions,” said Dubey in a press release.

“Footwear for us carries the essence of the outfits and has started becoming a very strong element in our creations because not only does it carry the essence of the style but also has a great impact. For us, it's basically the details in the layers of the look from top to bottom like the openings that form mini exposures of skin and break the monotony.”

Footwear in the collection is custom-made is India and priced at Rs 11,700 ($157.70) per pair. The shoes are made from textiles including cotton silk and handwoven cotton and colours include white, teal, grey, and dusky pink.
