Antar-Agni presented a sleek range of future-facing basics for both men and women on the runway at day two of Lakmé Fashion Week in partnership with the Fashion Design Council of India

On Friday, Antar-Agni sent models down the runway in all white, fusion style ensembles. With loose fits and subtle textural details, the collection was designed to feel fresh and modern. Longline tops resembled futuristic kurtas and obi-style belts added a Japanese touch.

The second half of the show saw models switch to all black ensembles, with more formal suit style looks in the mix as well as billowing kaften-esque looks. The collection painted a picture of a future that fuses Indian fashion heritage with Japanese minimalism and European nonchalance.

Designer Ujjawal Dubey launched Antar-Agni in 2014 with the aim of translating the innate language of textiles into wearable garments. The brand retails from its flagship store in New Delhi and dedicated e-commerce store and also has a presence in multi-brand boutiques in Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Kolkata.

Lakmé Fashion Week in partnership with the FDCI runs from March 9 to 14 in Mumbai and features over 100 designers, according to the fashion week’s website. Along with runway shows, the joint fashion weeks features an array if sustainable initiatives as well as fashion sales.
