The brand sees huge growth potential in India as it part of its global expansion plans. Anne Klein has already initiated talks for a host of Indian companies and expects to strike a deal soon for its India launch.

Anne Klein, which was recently acquired by WHP Global, currently sells its watches in India through a partnership with Titan Ltd.

Since acquiring the Anne Klein brand in July 2019, WHP has been focused on growing the brand's global reach through international expansion, new key product categories and by investing significantly in marketing, social media, and increasing brand engagement.

“We are very excited about the Indian market. We believe that India will contribute a big part of our future global growth.” Yehuda Shmidman, chief executive officer of WHP Global, told the Economic Times.

“WHP is in active discussion with a couple of Indian companies to appoint a licensee for the brand here. Entering through a licensee is indeed the business model that we believe is the best because it leverages the best of the brand, which we bring to the table, and, of course, the critical local knowhow and the experience the local partner brings,” Shmidman added.

The New York-based brand was founded by fashion designer Anne Klein in 1968. As part of its international expansion, it entered the Mexico market in December 2019 through a new long-term master license with lifestyle group IBV Licensing.
