Anita Dongre showcases ‘A Summer Reverie’ collection at LFW

Designer Anita Dongre showcased her collection ‘A Summer Reverie’ with the closing show on day 2 of the Lakmé Fashion Week Summer Resort 2019 in Mumbai.
 

Anita Dongre collaborated with Lenzing to create her spring/ summer 2019 ready-to-wear collection using its Tencel sustainable textile. The collection featured light-weight lehengas, colourful maxi dresses, jumpsuits and crop tops with skirts in womenswear while menswear comprised of kurtas and bundies.
 
Speaking about the collection, Anita in a statement said, "We are happy to have partnered with Tencel to create designs in fabrics that are produced with minimal impact to the environment. Sustainability is the need of the hour and Tencel believes in that as much as we do."

Commenting on the collaboration, Avinash Mane, commercial head South Asia Lenzing AG, added, "With an increase in consumer awareness of the ecological strain, sustainability is the need of the hour. We are delighted at the response we've received for our associations at Lakme Fashion Week and look forward to associating with more designers and brands.”
