Anita Dongre has launched a fine jewellery section in her Mumbai flagship store in Khar, the designer announced on Facebook. Dongre’s new fine jewellery line includes bridal pieces and compliments her winter/ festive ready-to-wear collection “Jaipur Love”.
“Anita Dongre Pinkcity was conceived seven years ago, out of a deep-seated respect for time-honoured craftsmanship, and the simple desire to make our brides feel beautiful,” the brand wrote on its Facebook page. “Perfected over generations and crafted in gold, an exquisite jadau necklace or a pair of vibrant meenakari earrings can draw radiance to the face and complete the traditional bridal trousseau. Today, we open the doors to our heritage jewelry alcove, at our store in Khar, Mumbai. We invite you to a world of luxurious fine jewelry.”
Dongre has recently been touring the US with her ready-to-wear and couture designs. The designer recently visited Houston, Texas, for the second time and held a pop-up store in the city before moving on the Dallas.
“I’m blessed to have been born in India,” Dongre told Houstonia about her inspirations in an interview before her Houston pop-up. “You can never be short of inspiration in that country; every state offers so much, and I come from the richest craft region. One lifetime is not enough to explore everything that India has to offer.”
