The new Grassroot store is spread across 1500 square feet and will feature her Grassroot line which focuses on ready to wear and uses handloom weaves such as Khadi.

“We are very excited to bring our flagship experience to this city through the beautiful space The Chanakya offers us,” said Anita in a statement.

Anita also showcased her capsule collection for Fall Winter at the launch event of the store which was graced His Excellency Nadir Patel, High Commissioner for Canada to India and his wife Jennifer Graham.

The new fall winter is a colourful collection with exquisite hand embroidery inspired by the biodiversity of rural India.

“I’ve experimented with the stretch handloom textile this season, which allows comfort and easy movement while giving the characteristic feel of Handloom," said a statement.

Chanakya Mall, located in Chanakyapuri, New Delhi specialises in luxury brands with Nirav Modi, Versace, Hermes, Tom Ford, Longchamp present, among many others.

Anita’s youngest brand, Grassroot was launched in India two years ago with an aim to promote India’s rich textiles and ensure the long tradition of craftsmanship was sustained. Grassroot currently has five stores in India and one at SoHo’s Broome Street in New York City.
