Ancestry by Future Style Lab opens first Mumbai flagship store

Future Style Lab’s brand Ancestry has opened its third India flagship store in Mumbai’s Palladium after opening its first brick-and-mortar store in Gurugram followed by New Delhi.

The store, which has white walls and a black ceiling, has a blank canvas on which to display Ancestry's brightly coloured fusion wear.

The brand has the tagline “Stories Retold” and is Future Style Lab’s brand for women, targeted at those who are inspired by India’s heritage but want to look modern. The brand stocks a variety of dresses, kurtas, blouses, and accessories and many of which are produced with sustainable textiles.

“Just the way Mumbai, as a city, and Mumbaikars, as its citizens, never fail to surprise the world with their undying fervour, Ancestry, as a brand shall never fail to surprise them, by providing an unparalleled, modern-day experience of old-style Indian artistries,” said Future Style Lab’s CEO, Manjula Tiwari, about the launch.

“We’re truly excited about launching this store, and are thankful to Palladium Mall for providing us with an impeccable space and opportunity, right in the heart of Mumbai.”

Future Style Lab was launched by Future Group in 2016 and its design studio is based in London, UK. The business also runs the clothing brand Cover Story.
