Anavila to hold Hyderabad showcase, participate in ID Symposium 2020

Womenswear brand Anavila will showcase its festive line at the Craft Council of Telangana’s Aakruthi Vastra event from January 10 to 11 in Hyderabad and designer Anavila Misra will participate in the upcoming ID Symposium in New Delhi.

 
Anavila will hold a two-day pop-up shop and exhibition at Hyderabad’s N Convention Centre, the brand announced on Facebook. The business-to-customer showcase will allow the city’s shoppers to browse Anavila’s festive collection “Joy” which includes metallic sarees and bags made from up-cycled fabric scraps.
 
Brand founder Anavila Misra is one of the speakers for the upcoming India Design Symposium which will take place in New Delhi from February 13 to 15 at the NSIC Grounds in Okhla, the India Design Guild announced on Facebook. The event will see Misra speak as a “design disruptor” and talk about how she created the first 100% linen saree which has now become her brand’s signature. She will also speak about sustainable fashion and craftsmanship. 

The brand recently launched its “Sa Pa” collection. Featuring handloom, hand dyed textiles, the collection is a modern, eco-friendly take on the classic saree inspired by traditional dying techniques used in Vietnam.
