Anantam holds Benaras exhibition in New Delhi, plans new store opening in DLF Promenade

Women’s traditional wear boutique Anantam launched a pop-up exhibition, “Benaras Edit 2019” in New Delhi’s South Extension from November 30 to December 10 and plans to open a new boutique in DLF Promenade.

Anantam launched a winter festive shopping exhibition in its multi-brand store in the capital to showcase the craftsmanship of Benarasi handloom, the brand announced on Facebook. The ongoing event features sarees, kurtas, and dupattas as well as fusion wear designs such as tunics. The exhibition aims to promote Benarasi handloom textiles for the winter festive season.

The brand plans to open another store in New Delhi inside the DLF Promenade mall, Vasant Kunj, the brand announced on Facebook in a job listing for fashion consultants for the new address. The brand will join labels including Levi’s, Van Heusen, and Raymond at the mall. 

The brand also recently held an exhibition to showcase designer Sonam Dave’s new collection in the MGF Metropolitan Hall in Gurugram from November 28 to 30. The event showcased Dave’s graphic and bold tunics which mix ethnic wear aesthetics with modern shapes. 

Anantam launched in 2004 as a multi-brand womenswear boutique and retails brands including Abhinav Mishra, Devanaagri, Kritika Dawar, Sahil Kochhar, Shagun Manchanda, and Siddhartha Bansal among others. The boutique chain currently runs stores in New Delhi and Gurugram as well as its dedicated e-commerce store.
