Amyra Dastur turns showstopper for Rajdeep Ranawat

Delhi-based designer Rajdeep Ranawat showcased his womenswear collection inspired by the beauty of Ubud, Bali on day 5 of the Lakme Fashion Week in Mumbai.
 

Actress Amyra Dastur walked the ramp for the designer as the showstopper at the pre-finale show for the season.
 
Commenting on the collection and show, designer Rajdeep Ranawat in a statement said: “It is inspired by the Balinese culture, which is more heritage and craft-oriented. Amyra was the epitome of my collection; she seemed to fit in as the perfect muse for the collection. I thank Amyra for doing justice to it and being the perfect Balinese Goddess.”

Amyra Dastur added: “It’s one of the most innovative collections I’ve seen, because of his modern twists on traditional Indian wear. I’m so glad I had the chance of associating with Rajdeep for his beautiful Resort Spring line inspired by Ubud, Bali. It made me feel like a fiery Balinese Goddess with the bright red hues of colour and headgear for some fun drama on the ramp.”
 
For the pre-finale show, the designer collaborated with Ritika Sachdeva for jewellery, 5 Elements by Radhika Gupta for footwear, and The Garnish Co. by Geetanjali Singh for handbags. 

The ‘Rajdeep Ranawat’ label sells through premier multi-designer stores such as Ogaan, L’affaire, Mogra, Elan, Deval, Elahe, and Collage D, among many others.
