Amway has witnessed strong online sales amid the coronavirus pandemic and almost doubled its home deliveries during this period.

Online sales currently contribute around 70 percent of the company’s total revenue. Pre-Covid, online sales contributed around 33 percent to the company’s revenue.

“In the last few months, we have witnessed a rapid shift in consumer behavior, especially in retail, with people increasingly migrating to online platforms for shopping. Amway too has observed a similar trend,” Anshu Budhraja, CEO at Amway India, said in a statement.

Sanjeev Suri vice president, global omni-channel logistics at Amway India, added: “Currently, we are doing over 2.8 lakh home deliveries, which is roughly 70%-80% of our total sales, from 1 lakh home deliveries before March, accounting to 40% of our total sales count. Amway expects the trend to continue and foresees the online orders to reach over 5-6 lakhs per month by the end of this year.”

Amway India had reported sales of Rs 1,800 crore for the last financial year. It is aiming to reach sales of Rs 2,000 crore for this financial year.
