Amway appoints Milind Pant as its chief executive officer
Direct selling company Amway has appointed Milind Pant as its first global Chief Executive Officer. Pant will take charge of the overall management and leadership of the business effective January 2, 2019.
Pant who joins Amway from Yum Brands will report directly to the Board of Directors and will also serve as one of the board members.
Commenting on Pant’s appointment, Amway Chairman Steve Van Andel in a statement said, “Milind brings a wealth of experience and enthusiasm to help lead Amway to even greater heights. We’re confident his leadership and strong track record of driving growth and transformational change will go far in advancing Amway’s focus on empowering entrepreneurs and meeting customer needs with exclusive and innovative products.”
Amway President Doug DeVos added, “Given Amway’s strong foundation and leadership in the industry, we’ve never been more confident in the business’ future and we’re excited to welcome Milind to the Amway family.”
The biggest market for Amway in terms of sales revenue globally is China, followed by the US with India in the seventh position. The company currently has 140 retail stores in India.
