“We are targeting business of Rs 45 Crore in next three years with the launch of herbal skincare product,” Amway India’s vice president for the East, Chandra Chakraborty, said in Guwahati on December 4.

“The size of herbal skincare market in India is 1,000 crores, which is growing at a healthy double-digit rate, given the rising consumer demand for skin brightening and pollution protection skincare solutions.”

Skincare is therefore going to be a major focus area in India moving forward for the direct selling company Amway. The business recently launched the Attitude Be Bright Herbals range. “The range is targeted at youths in the age group of 18-25 years who are on their journey of chasing their dreams and like to care for their skin and flaunt it,” Chakraborty explained.

The business invested significantly in this product launch and will continue to invest in its digital platform. The upcoming investment is part of a wider pledge to invest Rs 100 crore in its research and development (R&D) and manufacturing and digital initiatives over the coming two to three years.
