Day one of LFW held a joint show by the brands Amrich: and Urvashi Kaur on the runway at Mumbai’s Jio Garden. The show, held at 3:30pm on January 31, saw both brands present collections for the upcoming season.

Amrich: showed an array of indigo textiles offset by white and metallic silver. Long skirts were paired with smart shirts and floaty jackets completed the look. Many garments had tie details nodding to the title of the collection and the overall look was modern and clean.

Urvashi Kaur’s 'Prahara' collection has an earthy colour palette with natural fibres used for both traditional and fusion wear. Models were given a simple yet abstract makeup look and the collection was reminiscent of nomadic dress and India’s rich heritage.

The design duo behind Amrich:, Amit and Richard, first showed at LFW as part of the Gen Next show in spring/ summer 2007 and, that same year, they won the Apex award for the 'Best Student Designer of the Year'.

The brand has shown at LFW since then. Urvashi Kaur graduated from Esmod International in Paris and has worked with designers including Issey Miyake and Lolita Lempika and made her debut at LFW for spring/ summer 2008.
