Amithi holds ethnic wear exhibitions across Mumbai this spring

Women’s ethnic wear brand Amithi launched a pop-up exhibition in Mumbai on Thursday and has two more showcases planned in the city to present its spring collection and widen its customer base.

On January 23, Amithi launched its latest collection of kurtas, dresses, and sarees at the Aakar Art Gallery in Cumballa Hill, Mumbai, the brand announced on Facebook. The event will run until January 25 and feature the brand’s latest offerings which include its “Loom Collection” featuring relaxed dresses in pure cotton textiles and its “Dharti” collection of block-printed handloom cotton sets. 
 
From January 27 to 29, the brand will hold its showcase at the Shaadi Sakhi Gallery in Matunga, Mumbai. Finally, from February 1 to 2, the brand will set up shop at the Shuubham Art Gallery in Bandra, Mumbai, for its last spring showcase in the city. 

Amithi has already held a number of pop-up shopping events in Mumbai this season and began the year with a showcase in Andheri’s Khoobsurat Art Gallery from January 13 to 15 followed by an event at the Shagun Art Gallery in Powai from January 18 to 19. The brand also held an event in Kandivali East at the Saheli Art Gallery.
 
Amithi launched in July 2019 as a women’s ethnic wear brand and retails from its dedicated e-commerce store. The brand specialises in 100% cotton and Chanderi products. “Our adherence to the idea of Indianess is driven by our appreciation of the local craftspeople behind the scene, the grassroots level artisans who have and are crafting all pieces from seed to yarn to dye,” wrote the brand on Facebook.
