Amit GT to close Bangalore Fashion Week

Designer Amit GT will present a collection inspired by Japanese paintings at the finale of Bangalore Fashion week on September 1.

Amit GT has been selected to close this edition of Bangalore Fashion Week on Sunday. The designer, known for his own interpretation of traditional wear, was inspired by Japanese Sumi (ink) paintings for the winter/ festive season and has created a selection of gowns and lehengas with floral motifs.

The collection has a pastel colour palette and features glitter details and sheer textile overlays. The designer first showed a preview of the collection at the Hilton Mumbai in June.

Other designers that will present collections on the last day of Bangalore Fashion Week include Libas by Reshma Riyaz Gangji which will present a collection of festive wear in collaboration with Ozone Group. Designer Michelle Salins will launch a new range of athleisure and yoga wear on the runway and brands Sitannya by Shoumita Ganguly and The Maaya by Pushpa Thianhoih will also present collections. 

Bangalore Fashion Week began on August 29 and runs until September 1 at the Oterra Bangalore hotel. The event is sponsored by Ozone Group and celebrates its 21st edition this season.
